Operational launch of the PSCC on February 3, 2023

We were pleased to gather nearly 300 people on Friday for the operational launch of the Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster, the first biocluster to be designated as part of France 2030.


We are grateful to Mrs. Sylvie Retailleau, Minister of Higher Education and Research, Mr. François Braun, Minister of Health and Prevention, Mr. Roland Lescure, Minister Delegate in charge of Industry, Mrs. Valérie Pécresse, President of the Ile de France Regional Council, and Mr. Pierre Garzon, Mayor of Villejuif, as well as to the elected officials who attended the event, for their participation in and support of the project.

This was an opportunity for Sylvie Retailleau, Minister of Higher Education and Research, to announce that the Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster will be financed up to 100 million euros to accelerate innovation against cancer. We welcome this strong decision to really put the means to help France to scale up in the fight against cancer.

Thank you to our founders and key partners Gustave Roussy, Sanofi, Université Paris-Saclay, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, INSERM, Unicancer, Institut Curie, Greater Paris University Hospitals - AP-HP, Medicen Paris Region, who came to present the ambition and the offer they have helped build for industrial projects.

Sylvie Retailleau stated that "taking a long-term view and moving forward collectively is essential to achieve results in the near, medium and long term. And this begins today!
