Interdisciplinary training to develop talent

The quality of our teams is key to the success of our projects. Facilitating access to high-level training is a key factor in the development of innovation. The PSCC relies on three components to develop talent:

  • The OncoEntrepreneur program,

  • catalogue of high-level training courses,

  • Talent development.

OncoEntrepreneur program

A programme dedicated to pre-creation projects and recent start-ups, led by the PSCC and facilitated by ecosystem experts, to give entrepreneurs all the keys they need to make a success of their oncology project.

Access to high-level training catalogues

The PSCC gives supported projects access, as free auditors, to academic training courses (modules offered by Université Paris-Saclay, Institut Polytechnique de Paris and Gustave Roussy) in several key areas: intellectual property, regulatory affairs, market access, artificial intelligence, biomedical engineering, pharmacochemistry, and so on. These courses provide innovative project teams with high-level training, while offering opportunities for interaction with students and researchers who could potentially become future talent for start-ups.

Talent development

The PSCC fosters the development of an entrepreneurial culture by encouraging young people to take the plunge into entrepreneurship through meetings or by encouraging internships, doctorates or post-docs within PSCC Connect companies.

For whom & what kind of project?

The programme is aimed at all Oncology project leaders (researchers, clinicians, students and entrepreneurs) at an early stage: before start-up creation or for start-ups in the development phase. - The programme consists of a common core and additional training courses specifically designed for Biotech, s, Medtechs and e-health companies. - The programme is 100% funded by the PSCC.

Selected projects:

Benefit from 25 masterclasses (2h/week for 7 months) covering the key issues involved in setting up a company, as well as the specificities of oncology: shareholder agreements, intellectual property, regulatory and tax issues, partnerships, preclinical and clinical trials, fundraising, market access... Also receive help in preparing pitches and feedback from experts. This PSCC programme contributes to the OncoSTART collective's “toolbox” for cancer entrepreneurship.

Why apply?

Emile Roussel and Lise Clément-Demange (REACT Therapeutics project, i-LAB2024 winner)

« The Masterclasses in the OncoEntrepreneur programme offer the key elements for refining the entrepreneurial vision and better understanding the scientific, technical, commercial and financial aspects of a biotech. »

Eya ALOUI (ALBUPAD project, i-Lab 2024 winner)

The oncoentrepreneur program

Launched in 2014 by Cancer Campus, the “OncoEntrepreneur” programme trains innovative project leaders at an early stage. The Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster has been piloting and leading this programme since 2022 to encourage and support entrepreneurship in oncology.
